The transcript of Rca1β enhanced 40-fold in 4 h at elevated conditions and returned to the first level after 4 h upon return of flowers to regulate conditions. Rca1β comprised as much as 2% of the total Rca protein in unstressed leaves but enhanced three-fold in leaves exposed to elevated conditions for 5 d and remained high at 4 h after heat tension. These outcomes show that increased temperatures result quick changes in Rca gene appearance and adaptive changes in Rca isoform abundance.
