We report that NMR cortical neurons maintain NO homeostasis during hypoxia/OGD and avoid bursts of NO upon reoxygenation. Conversely, mouse cortical neurons maintain NO homeostasis in OGD but not hypoxia and exhibit a burst of NO upon reperfusion.
