When a Medicine Ball Isn’t a Medicine Ball - The Greer Law Group
What’s a Medicine Ball? If you’re talking about a popular drink you can order at Starbucks, it is a hot tea made from Jade Citrus Mint tea, Peach Tranquility tea, Steamed Lemonade, hot water, and honey. While the Internet knows this as a Medicine Ball, you won’t see Starbucks calling it that, and when you go into Starbucks to order one, you might even have to use its official name: Honey Citrus Mint Tea.
Why? Margot Geer blames the lawyers; in her TikTok rant about the Medicine Ball, she assumes that some lawyer somewhere told the executives at Starbucks that, despite the fact that the Internet calls this a Medicine Ball, and customers come in asking for a Medicine Ball, and baristas may even know how to make a Medicine Ball, Starbucks can’t afford to use that name… because it’s not really medicine.
