Combining API and TMZ significantly induced glioma cells arrest at the G2 phase and inhibited glioma cells proliferation compared with API or TMZ alone. In addition, API promoted the ability of TMZ to induce glioma cells apoptosis and inhibit glioma cells invasion. Furthermore, compared with treatment with individual agents, the combination of API and TMZ significantly inhibited the growth of subcutaneous tumors in mice.
