Bicycle Freewheel, Freehub and Cassette
In the freewheel system, the freewheel mechanism is built into the gear pack. The term "freewheel” means the entire gear cluster and the coasting mechanism stay inside. The freewheel mechanism is screwed into the thread on the right side of the wheel hub.
